{"id":1119,"date":"2018-01-13T08:24:14","date_gmt":"2018-01-13T07:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.domaine-teiller.fr\/?page_id=1119"},"modified":"2018-01-13T08:54:04","modified_gmt":"2018-01-13T07:54:04","slug":"our-estate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.domaine-teiller.fr\/en\/who-are-we\/our-estate\/","title":{"rendered":"Our estate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The estate (or domain) covers an area of 18 hectares, spread over the finest slopes in the villages of Menetou-Salon, Parassy, Aubinges and Vignoux-sous-les-Aix.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>11 hectares are planted with Sauvignon Blanc vines<\/strong>, the exclusive grape varietal of Menetou-Salon white wine<\/li>\n<li><strong>7 hectares with Pinot Noir stock<\/strong>, the exclusive varietal used in the production of Menetou-Salon ros\u00e9 and red.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The estate has been a member of the \u201cVignerons Ind\u00e9pendants de France\u201d network since 1995.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The \u201cDomaine Jean Teiller\u201d is a family business which was created in the 1950s by L\u00e9on Millet.<\/strong> Its true wine-making vocation commenced however with Jean and Denise Teiller (L\u00e9on Millet\u2019s daughter) who saw the potential for Menetou-Salon and strove to achieve the recognition which they felt that the appellation deserved. They were joined in their adventure by their son Jean-Jacques, a trained chef, and his wife Monique in 1986.
