Our estate
The estate (or domain) covers an area of 18 hectares, spread over the finest slopes in the villages of Menetou-Salon, Parassy, Aubinges and Vignoux-sous-les-Aix.
- 11 hectares are planted with Sauvignon Blanc vines, the exclusive grape varietal of Menetou-Salon white wine
- 7 hectares with Pinot Noir stock, the exclusive varietal used in the production of Menetou-Salon rosé and red.
The estate has been a member of the “Vignerons Indépendants de France” network since 1995.
The “Domaine Jean Teiller” is a family business which was created in the 1950s by Léon Millet. Its true wine-making vocation commenced however with Jean and Denise Teiller (Léon Millet’s daughter) who saw the potential for Menetou-Salon and strove to achieve the recognition which they felt that the appellation deserved. They were joined in their adventure by their son Jean-Jacques, a trained chef, and his wife Monique in 1986. In 2003, Jean-Jacques and Monique were joined in turn by their daughter, Patricia, and her husband, Olivier.
Though Jean Teiller passed away in 1996, the estate has retained his name in recognition of his achievement.
